When traveling and not planning to use .raf files I prefer to have a good recipe for portraits where I can use images straight out of camera. I was looking for a fuji portrait recipe that gave good skin tones and also good contrast out of camera. I wanted a clean look so I set grain to none and set NR to -4 to retain a much image detail as possible. When I use this recipe, I call the Il Mercato, I also use a Tiffen Glimmer Glass 1 filter which softens images just a touch and also blooms highlights a little. Alternatively one can use a different filter such as a Black Pro Mist which would give a slightly different look or try reducing Clarity in camera. Note setting clarity to a value other than zero causes the camera to have a short delay between photos.
All photos are camera jpegs. Some have some post work done such as blemish removal and sharpening via mobile app. Also some were cropped and resized for upload to the web. No other modifications made to the images.
